Acceptable Use Policy.

The activities that are not allowed on the VOIP2 platform.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") protects VOIP2 customers, our network, and the wider telecommunications ecosystem from abuse. By using VOIP2 services, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. Prohibited activity

2.1 Illegal content and behaviour

  • Anything illegal in your jurisdiction, the recipient's jurisdiction, or in the United Kingdom.
  • Distribution of, or facilitation of, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorism content, or content that incites violence.
  • Fraud, identity theft, money laundering or sanctions evasion.

2.2 Spam, robocalls and unsolicited communications

  • Any form of spam SMS or unsolicited bulk messaging without verifiable opt-in.
  • Automated outbound voice campaigns ("robocalls") that violate the TCPA, GDPR/PECR or any equivalent law.
  • Sending messages with deceptive sender IDs, headers or content.
  • Originating calls or SMS designed to bypass anti-fraud measures (e.g., AIT — artificial inflation of traffic).

2.3 Caller-ID and number misuse

  • Spoofing caller-ID information in violation of law.
  • Using numbers allocated to you to impersonate another person, brand or government agency.
  • Using numbers in jurisdictions or on ranges for which you are not licensed or compliant.

2.4 Network and security abuse

  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system without authorisation.
  • Generating excessive load that interferes with normal operation of the platform or other customers.
  • Distributing malware, ransomware, phishing kits or other malicious code via VOIP2 services.
  • Bypassing or circumventing technical limits, rate limits or quota controls.

2.5 High-risk content

Use of VOIP2 services for the following high-risk verticals requires prior written approval and additional compliance documentation: gambling, adult-content services, debt-collection, lottery and prize draws, certain political messaging.

3. Reporting abuse

If you believe a VOIP2 customer is in breach of this AUP, please report it to [email protected]. Reports should include the offending number, timestamp, and a brief description.

4. Enforcement

VOIP2 may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend or terminate access for any user found to be in breach of this AUP. Where required by law, we cooperate fully with regulators and law enforcement.

We may also charge reasonable administrative fees for investigating and responding to AUP breaches.

5. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time as new abuse vectors emerge. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
